Poppies in the Garden

While I have not updated lately, a lot has been happening…

I have earned a couple of commissions! I am quite excited… although that has been slow to start. I will certainly write about it in the coming days, but for now, it hasn’t been much more than a lot of trips back and forth to art supply stores, and some preliminary sketches.

Meanwhile, as I get back into hands-on mediums… a pen pal teased that I was drawing for them, and I was inspired to go out into my garden and reward them for their playful attitude.

…well, that and I love my garden, especially my poppies. This one was the first one to bloom. I can’t wait for home-made lemon poppy seed muffins! (oh how growing up changes the taste buds.)
