Three years ago today,
you took my hand and led me down a path that was
bright and beautiful,
(as much as it was dark and excruciating)

And at the end of it you left me there
(broken and bleeding)
confused,

left to follow the warrior’s adage
(left to death)
fingertips trailing
labyrinth
swaying

’round and ’round the bend.
