From Analog to Digital!

Drawing makes me SO happy <3

Quite clearly there is a lot left to do, but it’s a good start! As usual, anything after the character study bores me to tears, so coming up with a background will be… painful.

Speaking of painful, my original pencil sketch smeared badly in my bag, to the point were some of the work was unintelligible. ::sulks:: I have sketches that are years old in that book that are as nice as the day I made them, so I can’t help but feel petulant as this degraded over two days.

While I have permanent fixative at home, I literally just came across this article touting the benefits of using skim milk as a fixative. Who new? Van Gogh, apparently! Of course, the initial shock wears off when you know milk paint is long steeped in history.

Milk paints are also a good DIY way to paint your own stucco in the home; I know all kinds of things ::laughs::

Life is, unfortunately, kicking butt and taking names. The girls’ birthdays are coming up and invitations fall on the artiste. Family in the hospital, and ‘Phee not in school full time until Friday, finally.

Life, right?
