Dressed Up With No Where To Go

…and I’m just fine with that. ::smiles::

For Halloween I broke out my wedding dress and cape, revelling in the chance to wear them, while simultaneously mourning that such occasions amount to about once a year.  Leaving the house the next day, I decided the joy of wearing it was reason enough to don my favourite dress. ::grins::

My only lament is how bulky a good fur cape can be. I do think my fall jacket was an acceptable match for the day. ::smiles again::

Everything has been busy, but it’s my strong desire to learn how to make my own clothes and I’ve bought fabric to that end. Unfortunately, I have gained weight since I bought the pattern, so I’m at a bit of a conundrum since it was recently retired. Sigh. But I plan on adding sewing to my repertoire by winter’s end, or reading a pattern, anyway. ::laughs:: I’m capable of a basic stitch.

Sitting here waiting for my appointment, so I think that’s my cue to go. I’ve picked up some adorable votives to tackle a candle making project. I hope to document my experience soon.

Should be fun!
