Fairies, and Dragons, and Pixies, Oh My
The past week has been quite productive; I’ve been drawing pretty things, and in doing so, perfecting my Etsy store. ::preens::
I am so happy with myself, and feel that I’ve made real progress <3
I went to a post office the other day and was pleasantly surprised that all my jewelry should be able to travel via oversized letter mail. Other than I should and therefore will send my items as parcels outside of the country, it does mean it will be surprisingly affordable to any Canadian who makes a purchase :D
That said, I have been working on my product packaging since I last mentioned it, to help make myself stand out. ::nods::Â I would say that’s been quite the success!
Draft one:
The wrapper is supposed to mimic a 5×3″ envelope and double as a business card; I reworked a couple of things and now I just have to decide whether I want colour or B&W, as there’s quite a discrepancy in cost. I guess that depends mostly upon how well my artwork turns out. I feel like I’m on the wrong end of the learning curve when it comes to digitally inking my work. ::weak smile:: But that’s what practice is for…
Here is a sample of what I’ve been doodling so far, in various stages.
I’m kicking myself for not taking a picture, but I found brightly coloured mailers and shiny gift bags in lieu of tissue paper to “wrap up” any jewelry I send out once the parcel is opened. Less work at this point is key.
Now just to check my listings to make sure all my product descriptions are in place, and click “open for business.” No pressure at all, right?
